What to think about first
- Aluminum or steel. Aluminum doesn't rust and is lighter, which suits most homes and condos. Steel is stronger and better where security or impact matters, as long as it keeps a good coating.
- Slope. Panels can be racked to follow a grade or stepped. The choice changes how the fence looks, so we show it in the render.
- Permit heights. In Calgary, fences above 2m in a rear yard or 1.2m in a front yard need a permit. We confirm what applies to your site.
- Gates. Self-closing, self-latching hardware where safety requires it, and drive gates sized for real vehicles.
Common questions
Does ornamental aluminum fencing rust?
No. Aluminum doesn't rust, and powder-coating protects the finish. Steel can rust where the coating is damaged, so scratches should be touched up.
Is ornamental fencing private?
No. Ornamental fencing marks the boundary and secures the property but stays open to view. For privacy, look at wood or vinyl.
Do you work with condo boards?
Yes. You get a written scope a board can approve as is, and the work is scheduled around residents.
