Walk and drive gates
Single and double swing gates in wood, vinyl, chain link or metal, built and hung to stay square.
Sliding and cantilever gates
For wide openings, slopes or sites where a swing gate has no room. Cantilever gates need no track on the ground, so snow and gravel don't jam them.
Automatic gate openers
Swing and slide operators with remotes, keypads or phone access, and safety sensors so the gate stops for people and vehicles.
Gate repairs
Sagging, dragging or broken gates rehung, re-framed or replaced, including hardware and latches.
What to think about first
- Snow and ice. Swing gates need clear ground to open. On sites that get plowed or drift in, a cantilever slide gate is usually the better choice.
- Power. Automatic openers need power at the gate, or a solar kit for lower-use gates. We check this at the site visit.
- Safety devices. Automated gates should have photo eyes or edge sensors so they reverse when something is in the way.
- Access control. Who needs in, and how: remotes for residents, keypad codes for deliveries, or phone access for managers.
Common questions
Can you automate my existing gate?
Often, yes, if the gate is solid, swings or slides freely and is hung on posts that can take an operator. We check it at the site visit.
Which is better in Calgary, swing or slide?
Slide gates, especially cantilever, handle snow better and need no swing space. Swing gates cost less and suit most residential driveways that are kept clear.
Do you do gates for commercial yards?
Yes: vehicle gates for storage yards, warehouses and equipment compounds, sized to the traffic they handle.
